All z>5.7 quasars currently known

  • 1. Max Planck Institute for Astrophysics

Description

Quasars at redshifts z>5.7 are of wide applicability to astronomy. Follow-up observations of these objects has lead to advances in the study of reionisation, galaxy formation, and AGN physics to name but a few. The online dataset "All z>5.7 quasars currently known" aims to regroup in one place all publicly known such objects, with their sky coordinates, redshifts, and references to the papers who first announced their discovery. The criteria for inclusion are described in detail in the Read-me. The list will continue to be updated upon public announcement of new z>5.7 quasars.
