Eutittha lanceolata Esyunin & Zamani 2020, comb. nov.

Description

Eutittha lanceolata (Chrysanthus, 1967), comb. nov.

Cheiracanthium lanceolatum Chrysanthus, 1967, p. 407, figs 6–8 (description of holotype and paratype from INDONESIA: Papua Province: environs of Merauke (08°28’S, 140°20 ʹ E); Br. Monulf leg. 1956–1957).

Comments

This species is known only from the two female specimens collected in Papua Province, Indonesia (Chrysanthus 1967). This species differs from congeners by having only one loop of copulatory ducts. Also, the female is characterised by a transverse atrium anteriorly bounded by rim, sac-shaped spermathecae, as well as elongated posterior spinnerets. Based on the fact that the latter characteristics are consistent with those of the genus Eutittha, we establish a new combination.
