Boll. Soc. Orto Palermo 2: 6 (1904).

Type (designated by Peruzzi & Tison 2007): TURKEY. Tokat, 6–700 m, April 1893, Bornmüller 3535 (lectotype W!, isotypes G, K!).

Gagea dubia var. foliosa A.Terrecc., Bull. Herb. Boissier ser 2, 5: 1128 (1905).

Type (designated by Peruzzi & Tison 2007): TURKEY. Amasia, in apricis, 4–600 m, 3 April 1889, Bornmüller 667 (lectotype W!, isotype K!).

Gagea pinardii A.Terracc., Boll. Soc. Orto Palermo 2: 8 (1904).

Gagea ramulosa A.Terracc., Boll. Soc. Orto Palermo 2: 9 (1904).

Gagea granatellii (Parl.) Parl. subsp. maroccana A.Terracc., Bull. Soc. Bot. France 52: 16 (1905).

Note:— Zarrei et al. (2007) renamed all specimens that Wendelbo & Rechinger (1990) called G. dubia as G. villosa. This is the first definitive record of G. dubia from Iran.

Specimen studied:— AZERBAIJAN: Maku, in saxosis calc. 1300–1400 m, 4 May 1971 Rechinger 39231 (W!).
