Description

In the research of modern social sciences, globalization occupies an important place from various aspects. There are controversies in science in the context of the history of this process and its development as a phenomenon. A notable number of researchers believe that globalization is an older process than the period to which many social scientists associate it, that is, older than the end of the 20th century. The existing concept can be seen as an understanding of this complex geoeconomic, geopolitical and geo-humanistic phenomenon that affects all aspects of life in the global space. However, globally it is based on the dichotomy, similarities, and differences, unique - universal, homogeneous - heterogeneous. So, even though different factors are considered the main ones for understanding globalization from the perspective of system analysis; this process can be defined as a change in the usual, well-established structures of different dichotomies, ie the disintegration of traditional hierarchies. Today, when we live in a time of the global pandemic, researchers are especially interested in this aspect of global relations. In the circumstances imposed by the covid 19 pandemic, scientific communication and the holding of events presenting
research results and discussing scientific issues are also difficult. Accordingly, the conference, whose announcements were published in this collection, was held in special circumstances. The statements were collected by the editors, and then those works that fit into the concept were accepted, and that is globalization and its historical, social and economic consequences. Then the papers that passed the review were published in this collection. We must point out that the authors are from different countries, and that most of the works were created in collaboration with colleagues from the Southern Federal University in Rostov. The works in the collection deal with the issue of globalization from various aspects, from historical, through economic, legal, and those regarding security, all the way to the impact of globalization on education, and the issue of the global pandemic that global society is facing today. We hope that the collection will interest the readership and provide answers to some questions about globalization.
