Aristoptila smaragdophanes Meyrick, 1932b: 219. Type locality: Equador, Huigra (Meyrick 1932b: 219. Lectotype ♀, in NHMUK, designated by Kaila (2000: 171).

Distribution: Neotropical. Ecuador.
Larval host plant(s): unknown.
