Elachista parentii Kaila, nom. nov.
Cosmiotes amseli Parenti, 1981: 59. Type locality: Afghanistan, 22 km E Kabul (Parenti 1981: 59). Holotype ♂, in SMNK.
Elachista amseli (Parenti, 1981), nec Rebel, 1933; Kaila (1999a: 166).
Elachista parentii Kaila, nom. nov.
Subgenus: Elachista; freyerella species group.
Distribution: Palearctic. Afghanistan.
Larval host plant(s): unknown.
Figs.: Parenti (1981), Sruoga & Puplesienë (1998).
Remarks: Elachista parentii is a replacement name for Elachista amseli (Parenti, 1981), a junior secondary homonym of Elachista amseli Rebel, 1933.
