Data of leaf water potential, vegetation indices and leaf area indices of corn, cotton and wheat measured under field conditions

This upload contains the raw data and supplementary files in support of the article entitled "Leaf water potential of field crops estimated using NDVI in ground-based remote sensing – opportunities to increase prediction precision", authored by X. Dong, B. Peng, S. Sieckenius, R. Raman, M. M. Conley and D. I. Leskovar, which has been published in PeerJ on August 18, 2021 (DOI 10.7717/peerj.12005).

There are four versions of the supplementary files. The final version (Version #4 with suppl. files contained in the zip folder "Supplementary Computer Code - Datasets - Figures _Revised_Revised") directly supports the published paper, while other versions contain files in support of the various intermediate versions of the manuscript. Here is a brief description of different versions: Version #1 contains the raw data; Version #2 contains both the raw data and supplementary files, which include computer code, datasets and figures; and Version #3 is identical to Version #2, except for the addition of a new supplemental figure (Suppl. Figure S3). Version #4  has two new figures added, and also the order of Suppl. Figures has been changed; otherwise it is identical to Version #3. Some of the intermediate results for generating Suppl. Figure S3 in  Version #3, or Suppl.
