Robot Integration for Smart Machines: Applications and Control Tecniques

In this paper the main features regarding the Robotics Integration in Rockwell Automation are analyzed. Firstly, the concept of Integrated Architecture is defined, as well as all the possible levels of Integration in Robotics. Secondly, the enabling Technologies are listed considering both Logix-enabled and Ethernet/IP Robots. Thirdly, possible applications in the Logix Designer Environment and their outcomes are presented. Finally, the Robotics roadmap is provided in order to illustrate the future steps of the process of Digitalization.
