Description

Hoplepiscapha laticollis (Carter, 1908), new combination

Hymaea laticollis Carter 1908: 410.

Comments. The genus Hoplepiscapha Lea, 1922 is characterized as a Dacnini genus near Thallis Erichson (1842) with elongate antennomeres. The holotype of Hoplepiscapha longicornis Lea (1922: fig. 337), and holotype of Hymaea laticollis Carter (1908) (Figs. 8–10; Hoath 2020b) are clearly congeneric. The transfer of H. laticollis into Hoplepiscapha is here validated.
