No hay arquitectura pequeña. Un perchero en la casa de Miguel Fisac en el Cerro del Aire = There is no small architecture. A rack in Miguel Fisac´s house on Cerro del Aire

Este artículo de investigación estudia el perchero que el arquitecto Miguel Fisac diseñó para el vestíbulo de la casa que construyó, para sí mismo y su familia, en el Cerro del Aire en 1956.

El acercamiento al objeto se realizará por escalas: en primer lugar se hablará brevemente de la casa como contexto y contenedor de un elemento especial; el paso siguiente será analizar el vestíbulo y la importancia del perchero en la secuencia de recorrido; el tercer apartado se centrará en el propio perchero, en el ensamblaje de todos sus componentes y en su carácter maquinista, otorgado por el movimiento de las piezas; finalmente, se reflexionará sobre el origen incierto del perchero y sobre su deseada permanencia en la memoria colectiva. 

Este objeto sensible, al interactuar con los usuarios, provoca una reacción de sorpresa e invita al juego. 

No hay arquitectura pequeña. Como este perchero demuestra, una pieza singular y poética es capaz de cualificar y transformar el espacio.

This research article studies the rack that the architect Miguel Fisac designed for the hall of the house that he built, for himself and his family, on Cerro del Aire in 1956. 

The approach to the object will be carried out by scales: first, the house will be briefly examined as a context and container for a special element; the next step will be to analyze the entrance hall and the importance of the rack in the tour sequence; the third chapter will focus on the rack itself, on the assembly of all its components and on its machinist character, granted by the movement of the pieces; finally, we will discuss on the uncertain origin of the rack and on its desired permanence in the collective memory. 

This sensitive object, when interacting with users, provokes a reaction of surprise and invites them to play. 

There is no small architecture. As this rack shows, a singular and poetic element is capable of qualifying and transforming the space.
