Gender feminine (Note Article 30.1.4.4 of the International Commission on Zoological Nomenclature (1999)). Evenhuis 1994: 417 [fossil catalogue, world, as Acartophthalmidae]; Lonsdale et al. 2010: 232 [questionably placed in Clusiidae]; Roháček 2016: 411 [discussion of genus and family placement].
