Release Notes

The 0.0.10 release of tedana includes several bug fixes and deprecates support for Python 3.5, while formally adding support for Python 3.8 and 3.9. We encourage users to review our documentation (at tedana.readthedocs.io) which includes information and theoretical background for multi-echo, acquisition-related guidance, and documentation for our :sparkles: new interactive reports. :sparkles:

The complete changelog since the last alpha release is included below. Here, we briefly summarize the significant changes since our last stable release.

:wrench: Breaking changes
  • Support for Python 3.5 is dropped.
  • PCA is now normalized over time, which may change the total number of PCA components retained.
  • A bug fix for T2/S0 map thresholding may cause some components to change classification and metric values.
  • A bug fix for total echoes required may have significant effects on data sets with four or more echoes.
:sparkles: Enhancements
  • We now officially support Python 3.8 and 3.9
:bug: Bug fixes
  • A bug where T2 and S0 metric maps were f-thresholded after being recorded, but before kappa/rho calculation, has been patched so that T2/S0 metrics and their derivative metrics will be aligned with the values used in kappa/rho calculation.
  • A bug where data was required to have all echoes be considered "good" instead of just the three required to calculate metrics has been patched so that >3 echo datasets do not require more than 3 echoes to calculate metrics.
