Description

Ethical Considerations of Data: A Curriculum for Health Sciences Librarians is a pilot program organized by librarians at NYU Health Sciences Library at NYU Langone Health and funded by the Network of the National Library of Medicine (NNLM). The curriculum aims to familiarize librarians and LIS students with ethical issues related to data, including ethical frameworks and how data is collected and presented.

The pilot consists of three librarian-led lectures by Nicole Contaxis, Genevieve Milliken, and Fred Lapolla, each accompanied by 30-min guest lectures from data and medical ethics experts (Kiran Samuel, Kellie Owens and Chris Church and Kathrine Hempworth). The sessions took place in March 2021.

This repository contains the course syllabus, code of conduct, and slides from each session.
