The importance of turbulent ocean-sea ice nutrient exchanges for simulation of ice algal biomass and production with CICE6.1 and Icepack 1.2 - CICE forcing files

The files contained here are in netCDF format and were used to force simulations with CICE+Icepack (https://github.com/CICE-Consortium). The data contained in these files is from January to June 2015 and was obtained during the Norwegian Young Ice Expedition (Granskog et al., 2018). For more details about this forcing, see Duarte et al. (2017).

nutrients_daily_ISPOL_WOA_field3.nc - daily nitrate and silic acid concentration at the ocean surface (mmol m^-3)

oceanmixed_daily.nc - daily heat fluxes to the ocean surface mixing layer (W m^-2), depth of this mixing layer (m), u and v ocean velocity components (m s^-1) and water temperature (Celsius)

Qa_2m_daily.nc - Daily specific humidity at 2 m height (kg kg^-1)

Tair_2m_daily.nc - Daily air temperature at 2 m height (Kelvin)

uatm_10m_daily.nc - Daily (West-East) wind speed  (m s^-1)

vatm_10m_daily.nc - Daily (South-North) wind speed  (m s^-1)
