London North-West Local Practice Forum undertook a lung cancer awareness campaign

•An audit of pharmacy actions was undertaken

•Data from a sub-group of patients presenting with persistent cough was analysed

•Evidence from this group indicated patient gender influenced action taken in pharmacies
