Description
SIA-BRA is a compilation of C and N stable isotope ratios of terrestrial and aquatic animals sampled in Brazilian biomes and coastal-marine areas.
The SIA-BRA contains isotopic data about non-captive wild specimens, excluding livestock production or laboratory experiments. The SIA-BRA contains a total of 15,993 entries, divided into 10,577 vertebrates and 5,416 invertebrates. Organisms are divided into the following habitats: terrestrial (37% of the total), freshwater (34%), coastal-marine (29%). Eleven Phylum were represented, with a clear dominance of Chordata (66%) and Arthropoda (25%). A total of 40 Classes were included in the SIA-BRA, with a dominance of Teleostei (25%), followed by Mammalia (16%), Insecta (12%), Aves (11%), and Reptilia (10%). Finally, SIA-BRA includes 147 Orders, 460 Families, 857 Genera, and 1130 Species.
