Description
Trichromothrips albus (Bhatti)
(Figs 3, 40)
Collected originally in India from fern, none of the specimens collected in China and listed below were from fern. This species belongs to hospes section, but the brown head with a long neck-like constriction behind the eyes, and abdominal tergites pale without any sculpture (Figs 3, 40), are different from other members of that section.
Specimens examined. China, Guizhou, Tongren City, Fanjingshan National Nature Reserve, 2 females from Euscaphis japonica and 1 female from bamboo, 11.viii.2017 (Yajin Li); Anlong County, Xianheping National Forest Park, 1 female from Setaria plicata, 31.viii.2016 (Xueqiang Yan).
