FIG. 3. — Capo Caccia section, Nurra region (northwestern Sardinia). Upper Cretaceous rudistid limestone (Cr2) disconformably over- lying the gentle karst surface of the pre-bauxite Lower Cretaceous limestone of the "Urgonian facies" (Cr1). Bauxitiferous clay (bx) fill the fault-related karst network that cuts into the bedrock.
