Syrias (Florence 1591)

This is a modified version of the 1591 edition of Pietro Angeli da Barga's Neo-Latin epic poem 'Syrias'.

The digital copy was taken from SLUB Dresden, Lit.Lat.rec.A.79, http://digital.slub-dresden.de/id334948746, which is in the public domain.

The modification consists in the verse numbers that were added in order for the text to be reliably citable. As of now, there is no critical edition. The digital editions provided by Poeti d'Italia in lingua latina <http://mizar.unive.it/poetiditalia/public/> (and consequently by the Perseus Project <http://www.perseus.tufts.edu/hopper/collection?collection=Perseus:collection:PDILL>) are slightly faulty because some lines were skipped in the transcription.
