10. Hyalomma glabrum Delpy, 1949a.
An Afrotropical species whose adults are usually found on Artiodactyla: Bovidae; larvae and nymphs are commonly recovered from Lagomorpha: Leporidae. Adult ticks alone have been collected from Artiodactyla: Bovidae, Carnivora: Canidae, and Perissodactyla: Equidae and Rhinocerotidae; nymphs and larvae have been taken from Lagomorpha: Leporidae, Rodentia: Pedetidae, Galliformes: Numididae, and Passeriformes (several families); nymphs alone have been found on Hyracoidea: Procaviidae, and larvae alone on Carnivora: Felidae (Guglielmone & Robbins 2018, Horak et al. 2018). Hyalomma glabrum is a very rare parasite of humans.
