Note: Camicas et al. (1998) state that the only described stage of Ixodes moscharius is the female, but Teng (1982a) had previously described the male and female, while Guglielmone et al. (2014) state that only the male and female were described, overlooking the descriptions of the nymph and larva of Ixodes moscharius in Teng and Jiang (1991).
