Die Art ist hochmontan bis alpin verbreitet (1100 -2300 m); das Vorkommen in Habitaten, in denen das Larvalsubstrat (Polygonum bistortum) nicht vorhanden war, wirft die Frage auf, ob die Art wirklich monophag ist.
