6. Antepipona consors Giordani Soika, 1982

Antepipona consors Giordani Soika 1982: 210 (key), 214, figs 3–6, ♀, Ƌ, “ S. India: Nilgiri Hills, Devala, 3200 ft.” (holotype, ♀, RMNH); Lambert 2004: 558 (censors [!]; key).

Diagnosis. ♀. Similar to A. guttata (Smith). Clypeus wider and less deeply emarginated, with moderately sharp apical teeth; S2 almost uniformly convex at base; metanotal teeth normal size; posterior side of propodeum without transverse upper carina; anterior face of pronotum, pronotal carina, tegula, parategula, metanotum, propodeum and metasoma as that of A. guttata; punctures as that of A. guttata, but front more dense and mesepisternum more spaced.

Colour. Body black with apex of mandible brown. Yellow markings: V–shaped mark on mandible; clypeus; large mark on front; wide band along inner orbit of lower lobe of eye up to little above ocular sinus which connected with frontal mark; scape except triangular black spot at apex of dorsal face; an elongated large spot on temple; anterior two–thirds of dorsal surface of pronotum; large round spot on mesepisternum; scutellum; metanotum; outer half of dorsal and posterior faces of propodeum; tegula; parategula; femur, tibiae and tarsi of all legs except basal half of hind femora black; an apical band, connected with lateral spot at sides, on T1; two large spots at base, and band apically enlarged at middle and at sides on T2; medially interrupted apical band on T3; apical band on T4; median apical spot on T5; round spot on T6; broad apical band, enlarged at middle and on sides, on S2; similar but narrow band on S3; apical spot on lateral margin of S4. Wings lightly browned; fore wing with dark infumation at apical half of marginal cell.

Ƌ. Clypeus not wider than long, strongly emarginated at apex; apical antennal article small, slightly arched, its apex hardly reaching to base 11th article. Coloration as that of ♀, but hind femora yellow, with thin brownish black line at inner side.

Size (H+M+T1+T2). ♀, 7 mm; Ƌ, 6–6.5 mm.

Material examined. INDIA: Karnataka, Kalaburagi district, Gulbarga University Campus, 1♀, 10.iv.2014, Coll. S. Angalki, NZC No. 16334/H3.

Distribution. India: * Karnataka, Tamil Nadu.

Remarks. No Ƌ specimen was available for our studies; hence the characters of Ƌ were taken from Giordani Soika, 1982.
