Oodes cribristernis

Description

cribristernis ” species group

Diagnosis. No synapomorphy was found to suggest that this group of species is monophyletic. The species share several symplesiomorphies which are lacking in species in other groups, among them: (1) apical gonocoxite with well-developed dorsolateral ensiform setae, and (2) long metacoxal basal sulcus, extending to lateral fourth. Pseudoodes subcoriaceus (genitalia not studied), which is known only by the holotype, is provisionally placed here. Members of the “ cribristernis ” group have similar values of PW/PA, EL/EW and EL/PL (Table 2).
