Type species: Odynerus concolor de Saussure 1853, by original designation.
Taxonomy: Giordani Soika 1962 [1961]: 132 (key to Australian species).— Cardale 1985: 199–201 (cat. Australian species).
Distribution: Australia and New Guinea.
Ethology: One species has been reported to nest in an old Sceliphron nest.
