Higher moments of net-charge multiplicity distributions in Au + Au collisions in PHENIX experiment at RHIC
Description
This thesis attempts a systematic study of higher moments of net-charge multiplicity distributions in Au+Au collisions measured by PHENIX detector at 7.7 GeV,19.6 GeV, 27 GeV, 39 GeV, 62.4 GeV and 200 GeV center of mass energies per nucleon pair. Our model based study clearly indicates that the value of the observables related to net-charge and net-strangeness strongly depends on the experimental kinematic and charge state acceptances.
