The VISTA GCAV ESO Public Survey
Description
The ESO-VIRCAM GCAV Public Survey is an ongoing infrared Y,J,Ks 560 hrs long survey observing 20 massive (0.7-4 x 10^15 M_sun) clusters of galaxies, which explores galaxy evolution over a large, and largely unexplored, diversity of cluster environments. The 20 clusters are at intermediate redshify, 0.2<z<0.9, and the sample includes 4 Frontier Feilds/BUFFALO, as well CLASH and RELICS targets, and reach depths > 23.5 (AB) in Y and J and ~23 (AB) in Ks over an area >1deg^2/cluster. Most of the targets already have a wealth of ancillary data from optical imaging to hundred-thousands of spectra. First results for the clusters with completed observations (~80%) are summarized in the poster.
