In the discussion regarding the existence and presence and role of the Dutch zending institutions in Indonesia, and after conducting a critical evaluation of the failures and to created in the history of the church in Indonesia, then in that part the author wants to do the research objectives. The method used in this research is in the form of a descriptive library that relates this valuable historical lesson to the needs of the present-day church, specifically the author emphasizing the personal role of the Lord's servants in the duties of the church and the congregation. And the research results obtained in an effort to revitalize this valuable historical lesson,Writing states some important points that are the duty of the servants of God and the task of the church today, namely: 1) Planting and developing the church in the context of cultural, religious, language diversity in Indonesia, the church workers are required to understand the actual principles of contextualization namely how the text it is contextualized (model, method, and meaning) so that it can be accepted while not losing identity. No matter how great the method and strategy, but if God's servant person does not become a role model, it will be wasteful. 2) Establishing good, lively and balanced cooperation is a capital for churches in Indonesia to survive and develop in a healthy manner. Servants of God today must be able to accept other fellow ministry regardless of differences in race and color. 3) Servants of God are required to be able to fully integrate themselves into the congregation that is served without regard to differences in backgrounds and interests.
