Type locality — Holotype male: Peru, Junin: Satipo (MNRJ—destroyed during the fire in 2018). Acanthosphenopsilus flavocinctus Tippmann, 1960: 197.
Type locality — Holotype male: Peru, Junin: Satipo (Rio Perené) (USNM).
Distribution — Peru.
