Centris fluviatilis Friese, 1924
Centris collaris var. fluviatilis Friese, 1924: 20.
Type data: This species was described, as a variety, based on females collected in central-west Brazil and male(s) from northwest Bolivia. Two females from the type series were found at ZMB, and one in the AMNH. One of the syntypes of the former collection is here designated as the lectotype. The chosen specimen has the following data label: Brasil 1903 [printed] Matto Grosso R. Machakos [handwritten]\ C. collaris v. fluviatilis n. Fr. ♀ [handwritten] 1910 Friese det. [printed]\ Zool. Mus. Berlin [printed with blue ink] (ZMB). Paralectotype with the following data label: Brasil 1903 [printed] Matto Grosso R. Machakos [handwritten]\ C. collaris v. fluviatilis n. Fr. ♀ [handwritten] 1909 Friese det. [printed]\ Zool. Mus. Berlin [printed with blue ink]\ [red label with black rim] Lectotypus [printed]\ [dark red label] Type [printed] (ZMB). Paralectotype with the following data label: Brasil 1903 [printed] Matto Grosso R. Machakos [handwritten]\ C. collaris v. fluviatilis n. Fr. ♀ [handwritten] 1909 Friese det. [printed]\ Am. Mus. Na. Hist. Dept. Invert. Zool. No. [printed] 26445 [handwritten]\ AMNH _ IZC 00169525 QR code [printed] (AMNH). The current condition and depository of the paralectotype (s) male(s) are unknown.
Type locality: Brazil: Mato Grosso state: “ Rio Machakos ”.
Comment: This species was correctly interpreted by Moure et al. (2007).
