Description
FIGURE 6. Midpoint-rooted neighbour-joining tree, based on the analysis of a 648 nucleotide cytochrome c oxidase subunit I (COI) mtDNA alignment and uncorrected sequence divergences, depicting the relationships among Nemipterus elaine n. sp. and several other morphologically-similar species or species known from the Western Indian Ocean (N. bipunctatus, N. japonicus, N. peronii, N. randalli and N. zysron). Numbers in the terminal names refer to BOLD Process IDs, except for N. elaine n. sp, where GenBank numbers are indicated.
