Description
Cucubalus baccifer Linnaeus, Species Plantarum 1: 414. 1753.
"Habitat in Tatariae, Germaniae, Galliae, Italiae nemoribus." RCN: 3223.
Lectotype (Rechinger, Fl. Iranica 163: 508. 1988): Herb. Linn. No. 582.1 (LINN).
Generitype of Cucubalus Linnaeus (vide Green, Prop. Brit. Bot.: 155. 1929).
Current name: Silene baccifera (L.) Roth (Caryophyllaceae).
