Lectotype (Stevels in Wageningen Agric. Univ. Pap. 90-1: 239. 1990): [icon] " Corchorus trilocularis " in Burman, Fl. Indica: 123, t. 37, f. 2. 1768.
Current name: Corchorus tridens L. (Tiliaceae).
Note: See Wild (in Leistner, Fl. Southern Africa 21: 34. 1984) for a discussion of the cited Burman and Plukenet plates.
