Description

Convolvulus pentaphyllus Linnaeus var. serpens (Linnaeus) Linnaeus, Species Plantarum, ed. 2, 1: 223. 1762.

"Habitat in America." RCN: 1251.

Basionym: Convolvulus serpens L. (1759).

Lectotype (Staples in Staples & Jarvis in Taxon 55: 1022. 2006): [icon] " Convolvulus foliis digitatis quinis glabris dentatis, caule piloso " in Plumier in Burman, Pl. Amer.: t. 91, f. 2. 1756.

Current name: Merremia quinquefolia (L.) Hallier f. (Convolvulaceae).
