Lectotype (Zieliński in Rechinger, Fl. Iranica 142: 12. 1979): Herb. Linn. No. 1209.2 (LINN).
Generitype of Celtis Linnaeus (vide Green, Prop. Brit. Bot.: 193. 1929).
Current name: Celtis australis L. (Ulmaceae).
