Calea scoparia (Linnaeus) Linnaeus, Systema Naturae, ed. 12, 3: 234. 1768.
"Habitat in Jamaica." RCN: 6099.
Basionym: Chrysocoma scoparia L. (1759).
Lectotype (Wussow & al. in Syst. Bot. 10: 265. 1985): Browne, Herb. Linn. No. 984.4 (LINN).
Current name: Baccharis scoparia (L.) Sw. (Asteraceae).
