Asparagus officinalis Linnaeus var. altilis Linnaeus, Species Plantarum 1: 313. 1753.

Lectotype (Marais & Coode in Bosser & al., Fl. Mascareignes 183: 8. 1978): Herb. Linn. No. 434.1 (LINN).
Current name: Asparagus officinalis L. subsp. officinalis (Liliaceae / Asparagaceae).
