Lectotype (Nicolson in Smith, Fl. Vitiensis Nova 1: 457. 1979): Herb. Linn. No. 1079.4 (LINN).
Current name: Colocasia esculenta (L.) Schott var. antiquorum (Schott) F.T. Hubb. & Rehder (Araceae).
