Original material: Herb. Linn. No. 1117.23 (LINN).
Current name: Amaranthus hypochondriacus L. (Amaranthaceae).
Note: Sauer (in Ann. Missouri Bot. Gard. 54: 111. 1967) described Linnaeus’ diagnosis as ambiguous, and noted the existence of 1117.23 (LINN) but without explicitly treating it as the type.
