Lectotype (Pichi Sermolli in Webbia 12: 678. 1957): Magnol Herb. Linn. No. 1252.9 (LINN).
Generitype of Adiantum Linnaeus (vide Smith, Hist. Fil. 274. 1875).
Current name: Adiantum capillus-veneris L. (Pteridaceae).
