Actaea spicata Linnaeus, Species Plantarum 1: 504. 1753.
"Habitat in nemoribus Europae." RCN: 3830.
Lectotype (Jonsell & Jarvis in Jarvis & al., Regnum Veg. 127: 14. 1993): Herb. Linn. No. 665.1 (LINN).
Generitype of Actaea Linnaeus (vide Huth in Bot. Jahrb. Syst. 16: 308. 1892).
Current name: Actaea spicata L. (Ranunculaceae).
Note: Jonsell & Jarvis (in Nordic J. Bot. 14: 160. 1994) provide more details concerning their formal 1993 typification.
