Replaced synonym of: Ludwigia oppositifolia L. (1767), nom. illeg.
Lectotype (Brenan in Turrill & Milne-Redhead, Fl. Trop. E. Africa, Onagraceae: 13. 1953): Herb. Hermann 2: 9, No. 66 (BM-000594572).
Current name: Jussiaea perennis (L.) Brenan (Onagraceae).
