Stratiotes aloides Linnaeus, Species Plantarum 1: 535. 1753.
"Habitat in Europae septentrionalis aquis pigris." RCN: 3973.
Lectotype (Simpson in Jarvis & al., Regnum Veg. 127: 91. 1993): Herb. Burser XVI(1): 105 (UPS).
Generitype of Stratiotes Linnaeus.
Current name: Stratiotes aloides L. (Hydrocharitaceae).
