Solanum dulcamara Linnaeus, Species Plantarum 1: 185. 1753.
"Habitat in Europae sepibus humentibus." RCN: 1459.
Lectotype (Deb in J. Econ. Taxon. Bot. 1: 46. 1980): Herb. Linn. No. 248.7 (LINN).
Current name: Solanum dulcamara L. (Solanaceae).
Note: See detailed discussion, and an illustration of the lectotype, by Knapp & Jarvis (in Bot. J. Linn. Soc. 104: 337, f. 9. 1990) who chose the same type, unaware of Deb’s earlier formal choice.
