Description

Protea repens (Linnaeus) Linnaeus, Mantissa Plantarum Altera: 189. 1771.

"Habitat ad Cap. b. spei." RCN: 766.

Basionym: Leucadendron repens L. (1753).

Lectotype (Rycroft in J. S. African Bot. 27: 191. 1961): [icon] " Lepidocarpodendron; foliis angustis, brevioribus, salignis; calicis squamis elegantissime ex roseo, aureo, albo, atro-rubro variegatis; florum plumis albis " in Boerhaave, Index Alter Pl. Hort. Lugdb.-Bat. 2: 187. 1720.

Current name: Protea repens (L.) L. (Proteaceae).
