Polygala umbellata Linnaeus, Mantissa Plantarum Altera: 259. 1771.
"Habitat ad Cap. b. spei montibus." RCN: 5142.
Lectotype (Levyns in J. S. African Bot. 21: 30. 1955): Tulbagh 163, Herb. Linn. No. 882.13 (LINN).
Current name: Polygala umbellata L. (Polygalaceae).
