Triticum hybernum Linnaeus, Species Plantarum 1: 86. 1753, nom. rej.

Lectotype (Hanelt & al. in Taxon 32: 496, f. 2. 1983): Herb. Clifford: 24, Triticum 2 (BM-000557669).
Current name: Triticum aestivum L. (Poaceae).
Note: Triticum hybernum is rejected in favour of T. aestivum L. (1753). Although the types of both names are listed in their Vienna Code entries (2006: 464), neither type is conserved.
