Tripsacum dactyloides (Linnaeus) Linnaeus, Systema Naturae, ed. 10, 2: 1261. 1759.

["Habitat in America."] Sp. Pl. 2: 972 (1753). RCN: 7050.

Basionym: Coix dactyloides L. (1753).

Lectotype (Hitchcock in Contr. U. S. Natl. Herb. 12: 124. 1908): Herb. Linn. No. 1097.1 (LINN).

Generitype of Tripsacum Linnaeus.

Current name: Tripsacum dactyloides (L.) L. (Poaceae).
