Lectotype (Skog in Smithsonian Contr. Bot. 29: 104. 1976): [icon] " Rapunculo affinis anomala vasculifera, folio oblongo serrato, flore coccineo tubuloso, semine minuto oblongo luteo " in Sloane, Voy. Jamaica 1: 159, t. 102, f. 1. 1707. - Typotype: Herb. Sloane 3: 27 (BM-SL).
Current name: Gesneria acaulis L. (Gesneriaceae).
