Description

Gentiana saponaria Linnaeus, Species Plantarum 1: 228. 1753.

"Habitat in Virginia." RCN: 1863.

Lectotype (Pringle in Brittonia 19: 2. 1967): Kalm, Herb. Linn. No. 328.8 (LINN).

Current name: Gentiana saponaria L. (Gentianaceae).
